This mini ground-shaker is built for everything - gigs, rehearsals, home and studio recording, all with modern, transparent and noise-free tone that can be tweaked as needed using a straight-up set of treble, middle, and bass controls, as well as a 15db boost/cut. The hard-working, pocket-sized Gnome not only sends your carefully shaped sound out to a speaker cabinet, but provides a dedicated DI output and a headphone output for private practice or direct monitoring when a speaker is hooked up.

Quite happy with my purchase. It has solid construction and easy-to-use controls. I use it only for practice, to save lugging a full rig around. I play it through a 4-ohm 15" speaker and it is certainly adequate for rehearsal volumes, or a gig in a small pub or club. It lacks a PAD switch, so I turn the gain right down if I use my active bass. I consider the price (£125) was fair. Arrived only one day after the expected delivery date.
Fantastic value, really small and solid, unexpectedly loud. I bought it just for practice and fun but would be good enough for small gigs and proper rehearsals even with a loud drummer can easily get a variety of great tones
Zoek je een eenvoudige en zeer draagbare basversterker,
dan is de Warwick Gnome zeer zeker aan te bevelen.
Er zijn een aantal merken die soortgelijke versterkers
aanbieden van hetzelfde formaat en vermogen (200 Watt),
zoals de TC Electronic BAM200 en de Trace Elliot ELF.
Beide genoemde versterker heb ik gehad,
en kan dus een goede vergelijking maken.
Alle genoemde versterker hebben grotendeels
dezelfde specificaties, zoals vermogen en de
frequenties van de toonregeling (Bass 80hz /
Mid 400hz / Treble 4,2Khz)
De Gnome is een degelijk gebouwde versterker die
in vergelijking met de BAM200 meer power heeft.
De ELF en de Gnome lijken qua vermogen meer op
elkaar, maar de Gnome klinkt wat meer helder en
gedetailleerd, en kost maar iets meer dan de helft van de ELF.
Ik heb de Gnome tot nu toe alleen maar gebruikt met een
8 ohm cabinet, waardoor de versterker nog niet op vol
vermogen heeft gespeeld (130 Watt bij 8 ohm / 300 Watt
bij 4 ohm).
Echter ben ik in de oefenruimte geen volume tekort gekomen.
Al met al een aanrader als je een eenvoudige versterker zoekt
die alle basale voorzieningen aan boord heeft, zeer portable is,
degelijk gebouwd en niet al te duur.
Tout petit, pas cher, aspect solide, bon son, une puissance suffisante pour jouer avec un batteur. Que demander de plus ? Un ventilateur moins bruyant.

Really pleased with my purchase. Well packed and arrived quickly. Seems to be very well designed. Tiny but sturdy with straightforward controls. Unbelievably loud for its size using a 4 ohm 15" Peavey Scorpion speaker and gets only slightly warm. Bought as a spare but have been using it regularly for rehearsals. Highly recommended at the price!
